Five Years of Quirk Cycles

New Logo

Last month Quirk Cycles hit the five year milestone and to celebrate the occasion we’ve been working on a few changes. First thing you’ll notice is our new logo, which just like ourselves has changed and matured with age. It was important to keep the playfulness of our old logo but as we’ve grown we wanted our logo to do the same.

Our Latest Model

It’s also with great pleasure that we get to release our latest model the Overland. A bike made for adventure, the Overland is a versatile frame for the wildest and toughest off-road exploits. Tested in the Atlas Mountain Race we built this bike to be the ultimate bikepacking rig with no compromise on where we could go or what we could carry. Tees Pre Order!

To get the ball rolling and spread the good news we’ve put together a preorder for some Logo Tees. We’ve got long sleeve and short sleeve so you can get your riding in all year round in a Quirk tee. Top tip, the long sleeve is great for gravel sorties. Get your order in here but be quirk, this will only be available until early May!

Other News

You’ll notice that there’s been quite a few updates to the website. First we’ve gone deep into the Quirk archives and pulled out all the best stories, interviews, videos and news from the past five years and put them all over on the Blog. Have a look through and see all the great things we’ve done over the years.

We’ve also been updating our paint offerings. Inspired by 4x4 overland vehicles both past and present, we’ve put together a palette of colours that takes it’s inspiration from Japanese Jeeps and 1970’s Defenders. Head over to the Paint-Haus to see what we’ve cooked up.

Lastly we’ve revised our Mamtor and Kegety geometries and updated some of the features. With the Mamtor we wanted to increase the space inside the frame so that there would be more room for frame bags and water bottles, achieved by simply extending the seat-tube. The Kegety on the other hand has had a more thorough revision. We wanted to improve it’s off-road handling so we’ve taken inspiration from modern mountain bike design by lengthening the front end of the frame and combining the build with shorter stems. This greatly improves the Kegety’s ability to run over bumps while maintaining great handling. You’ll also notice that the Kegety can now come with triple cage mounts on each fork leg for extra cargo capacity and somewhere to mount those Anything-Cages.
