FAQ

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

If you’ve had a look at our bikes and know what you would like, head over to our store and place your deposit online, filling out as much of the order form as possible. Anything you’re unsure of just ask.

CAN I VISIT YOUR SHOP?

Of course, but make sure we’re in first before turning up! Send us an email to arrange.

HOW LONG UNTIL I CAN RIDE MY BIKE?

The time between you confirming your order and delivery is roughly 3-4 months. Confirmation of your order means that you have approved your custom frame design, your parts listing, paint scheme and final cost.

CAN I BUY JUST A FRAMESET?

Yes, you certainly can and we can mail this out to you to build up. You can also order as many parts as you want specifically for the build directly from us.

CAN I SEND PARTS TO YOU TO BUILD?

We do not take delivery of customer-sourced parts for builds, so if you’re after a full bike and need help building up a frame, the best way is to order a complete bike with us.

DO I NEED A BIKE FIT?

Our frames come in standard or custom geometry. Our standard geometries have been developed from the experience we have gained fitting past customers. These geometries have been designed to be true proportional sizes fitting a wide range of people. However, to achieve the best ride experience we recommend coming to us for a custom fit. For this, we will get you in for a jig fit, which differs to a standard bike fit by not being based on an existing bicycle. This means your current bike does not restrict us and we can let your body be the guide. This way we can get the best possible position for the sort of riding you want to do. Please contact us to book a fit.

WHAT MAKES A BIKE CUSTOM?

All our builds are handmade one at a time in our London workshop, each to order, all one-of-a-kind. We offer base models as these are the types of bikes we ride so naturally we want you to experience what we enjoy riding. You want something different? No problem. Need custom geometry? No sweat. Got a paint design that’s keeping you awake at night because you have to see it happen? We got you covered. Anything you want, we can do.

HOW MUCH DOES A QUIRK BIKE WEIGH?

For us the question of weight always comes with the question of balance and performance. Although it is a variable we take a lot of time considering, it is just one part of the puzzle when it comes to what makes a great riding bike. We don’t weigh each frame that leaves the workshop but disc builds will come in around 8.5kg complete. For us this is a good place to be but if you want super-light lets talk carbon seat tubes, 3D printed dropouts and SL forks.

IS THERE A WARRANTY?

Our frames have a 5 year material warranty from date of purchase for the original purchaser that does not cover paint. If you believe you have a warranty claim we will evaluate the frame to determine the cause of the issue and repair to like new or replace it at our discretion if we deem the problem to be covered by warranty. Normal wear and tear is not covered. Should any modifications be made to the frame during the warranty period, which includes removal of the original paint, the warranty is void.

HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

We charge for the actual shipping cost, so depending on how far your new bike is traveling it will vary. Get in touch for a shipping estimate. Any import duties and taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Definitely! The Quirk Cycles family is found all over the world!

CAN I PICK MY BIKE UP IN PERSON?

For sure but be prepared to have your picture taken!
