Jess's Pink Rocket Mamtor

When it comes to making a custom bike one-of-a-kind can you think of a better way than this! From the start Jess wanted something that would stand out from the crowd and show off her love of hand drawn illustration and the colour pink. It’s safe to say both of these are on point.

Early on in our talks about the build Jess sent me a folder brimming with illustrations, design ideas and colour swatches as inspiration for the build. From what she had sent we knew straight away that the perfect artist to illustrate Jess’s Mamtor, Lisa O’Hara.

All those old school Quirk fans will recognise that Lisa was the illustrator who designed the original Quirk Cycles logo, way back when we started. For a long time we had been looking for the right canvas for Lisa’s playful hand drawn style, so we were stoked when we finally got the chance to pair Jess and Lisa together.

Being a native Australian you’ll notice the nod’s to her heritage with boomerangs and wild snakes in the designs. We kept the colours simple, relying on the differences of tone and texture in the two pinks we chose to bring out the illustrations subtly. Quinntessential Custom Workshop executed the finish and as always what a fine job it was!

The rest of the build we kept simple, to make the paint pop, with the exception of the Keith Harring inspired bar tape. The perfect way to crown the build. If you’re ever in Amsterdam, keep your eyes peeled for this awesome build.
