Hugo's Dazzling Kegety
When Hugo first came to us he was certain that the Kegety was the perfect bike for him. Splitting his time between the UK and Kenya, he needed a versatile bike that could tackle a variety of terrains sitting at the extremes. The Kegety was certainly the first model that came to mind, this particular bike is a testament to Hugo's unique style, boasting an array of standout features.
At the heart of the bike is the SRAM Mullet groupset, a cutting-edge drivetrain system that blends the best of both worlds. The Mullet setup combines a single-chainring front setup with a wide-range cassette in the rear, providing the ideal gear range for tackling various terrain types. This configuration ensures smooth and precise shifting, allowing Hugo to effortlessly navigate steep climbs and difficult terrain with confidence.
To enhance the bike's off-road capabilities and ensure maximum control, Quirk Cycles equipped the Kegety with a Rockshox Rudy suspension fork. This high-performance fork offers superb shock absorption and damping, smoothing out rough surfaces and providing an unparalleled level of comfort during off-road adventures. With the Rockshox Rudy, Hugo can tackle the worst of the terrain that Kenya can throw at him.
Having seen our beautiful raw finishes, Hugo knew he wanted that, but didn’t want to miss out on the chance to add some colour. His Kegety is further elevated by its stunning Rose Gold CANDY-RAW paint job. This distinctive color scheme uses a translucent candy to tint the raw steel underneath, catching the eye and turning heads.
All in all we think Hugo's Kegety is a a tiny masterpiece that embodies the perfect blend of functionality and aesthetic brilliance we aim for. Here’s to seeing it rolling across the Kenyan plains.
