Our story
Rob Quirk has designed and built bikes in Hackney since 2015, shaped by ultra-distance racing and a background in art and architecture. It shaped the way he thinks about objects and the relationship between people and the things they live with
Rob has always been interested in how things are made. Not just how they work, but how they feel, the materials they’re made from and the decisions behind them. These ideas now find their way into every Quirk frame that leaves the workshop. The result is a simple belief that performance and design are considered together.
Tried and tested
Quirk began when Rob started racing in events like the Transcontinental, Silk Road Mountain Race & Atlas Mountain Race. Each race called for a different frame built around the route and conditions.
It was a process driven as much by curiosity as engineering, which has built the foundation behind every Quirk today: test, learn, refine and ride.
Our approach
The goal behind each Quirk is to make bikes with character. Bikes that feel considered and bikes that people want to live with, not just ride. Every Quirk is designed with intention and has been refined through riding, testing and constant iterations. It is a process driven as much by curiosity as engineering.
Quirk bicycles are not created for a single type of rider for a single kind of day. A Quirk should ride just as well on familiar roads as it does somewhere new. The aim is simple: Quirk make bikes that you want to ride and live with.
