At Bespoked London 2026, Quirk's Durmitor was named Best Road Bike. For us, the award matters because Durmitor carries one of the clearest ideas in the Quirk range: road bicycle should be fast, precise and refined, but it should also make sense on the roads people actually ride.

Durmitor was developed for the practical demands of fast road riding. Long days, bad surfaces, changing weather, loaded pockets, early starts, late finishes and the kind of routes that rarely stay perfect for long. It is a bicycle for riders who want speed and response, but not fragility. The frame brings together decisive handling, useful clearance, clean integration and the kind of detail that comes from building bicycles close to the bench. It is not an endurance bike in the soft, diluted sense. It is not a gravel bike with road tyres. It is a contemporary road bicycle with enough range to stay useful when the ride stops being ideal.

Winning Best Road Bike at Bespoked was not the reason Durmitor was built, but it is useful recognition of the thinking behind it. The award reflects a direction we care about: performance bicycles that are resolved, practical and specific, without becoming anonymous. Durmitor also shows where Quirk is heading as a company.

The move from bespoke framebuilding into small-batch production is not about making the bikes less personal. It is about taking years of one-off decisions, rider feedback and workshop experience, then turning that knowledge into clearer, more complete platforms. That is what Durmitor represents. A bicycle made for real road riding. Precise enough to feel alive, composed enough to trust, and detailed enough to carry Quirk's way of working into a more focused product. Bespoked gave us a chance to put that idea in front of people. The award suggests it landed.
