The Accursed Race announces Quirk Cycles as Race Partner

We’re pleased to announce that Quirk Cycles will be bike sponsor for The Accursed Race, the latest race from the guys who bring us the Transcontinental Race, Lost Dot.

The Accursed Race is Lost Dot’s first fixed route, no-fly, off-road race. Exploring the Balkans the Race will take riders through Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo. In the works since 2017, The Accursed Race is the result of years of knowledge built up by Lost Dot in this breathtaking corner of Europe. 

The significant challenge and variability of a race like The Accursed perfectly compliments a bicycle inspired by some of the most demanding endurance cycling events in the world, leaving no detail unconsidered.

“When Quirk Cycles started way back in 2015, Ultra Racing was in its infancy. I had come to watch with trepidation the burgeoning scene, following the earliest editions of the Transcontinental Race back when it started in London. The subsequent stories that would later emerge in the post race coverage spoke of inspiring tales of personal endeavors and endurance. The scene was set, I put in my application for the fourth edition of the TCR and secured a place, and that was the start of my ongoing connection with Ultra Racing. Having spent many of the following years racing in Ultras across the globe, it was fantastic to be given the opportunity to give something back to the team and community where it all started. The Accursed Race speaks to me deeply as it takes place in many of the Balkan locations that were in the TCR No4 and to see these revisited has so much meaning for Quirk Cycles today.”
