RAT PENAT - All new classic steel road bike

Do you find yourself harking for the golden simplicity of classic rim brakes, skinny tubes and 25mm rubber. Then say hello to the RAT PENAT!

Named after arguably the steepest climb in Catalonia, the RAT PENAT is a svelte modern steel road bike built to be light. It excels at climbing and takes full advantage of the weight savings that rim brakes bring to the table. Modelled on classic road geometry, the RAT PENAT screams to be ridden hard up the climbs and fast on the descents. Skinny tubes and an untapered steerer deliver a greater level of traction, flexing to follow the contours of the road feeling like it’s being riden on rails.

Since Quirk Cycles started disc brakes dominated our designs, and with it the necessary overbuilding needed to deal with the added stresses disc brakes put through the frame. The versatility and stopping power of disc brakes is undisputed, but the purity of a rim brake road bike is undeniable.

Complete builds can be had at 6.7kg and can be cut down even further with exotic lightweight components. Been looking for a modern steel road bike to smash your local cols? Look no further than the RAT PENAT.
