Rob's All-Road Disc
This bike was originally developed to tackle ultra-endurance races such as the Transcontinental. What we found though is that this bike is an excellent all rounder, equally at home climbing hills and smashing descents, eating the miles but ready to tackle out of saddle sprints when needed. This bike has become our go to workhouse for on road duties but when the road gets rough we can comfortably slip a pair of 30-32mm tyres in no problem.
Built using Columbus Spirit and HSS the geometry is designed to stay firmly planted on the road while being to be pushed hard. The mix of oversized tubes and skinny stays keeps the frame stiff and comfortable while keeping the weight down.
This one was beautifully finished in a House of Kolor custom candy blue. Deep and subtle the shade changes from darkest navy to rich cobalt in shifting light. Stunning doesn't come close!
We recently took this one on an outing over the Dolomites from Munich to Venice as part of the Rad Race Tour de Friends. You can see Rob Quirk talking about the bike in this video here and one of the videos of the ride here.
