Philippe's 'Lucky' Durmitor
The Durmitor has always been popular with endurance riders, and Philippe was no exception. Keen to push his road rides for longer and longer he opted for a fast but comfortable design to eat up the miles quickly.
Philippe wanted the best group for the build so we opted for the super plush shifting of the SRAM RED AXS group. Although keen to run the best gear, we opted for a Force crankset as Philippe was to upgrade to a power meter at a later date, and the Red power meter doesn’t have replaceable rings. Talk about throwing the baby out with the bath water.
To keep him rolling and flying up the climbs the build is shoed with Parcours Strade wheels and shod in the finest Schwalbe Rubber.
Really though it’s the paint where this build shines and it was all down to Philippe. He came with his own designs and flower emblems that he had picked up on his travels to Japan. These emblems adorned every vehicle he owned from his work truck to his family car so it made sense that the Durmitor would get the ‘lucky’ charm treatment. It’s super clean and unfussy!
